The Balkan attracts more and more motorhome tourists each year, which definitely has reason! Whether you are looking for an active trip or you prefer to take it easy, it is all possible in Montenegro! The country’s main hotspot is of course the photogenic town of Kotor, a place where Venice and the Balkan come together. Get lost in the city between the museums, the city squares and old palaces or look over the bay of Kotor. In the summer month of August the International Summer Festival takes place here, a party located in the town’s streets and alleys. The festival has been celebrated for over 500 years and is fully dressed in Venetian costumes. If you had any doubts about this beautiful country, they are gone now for sure!

When people think of Spain, they often think of Barcelona or Madrid, but maybe this time opt for a slightly smaller city! It is definitely worth stopping in the beautiful city of Bilbao. The city has a history full of gray industry, but is nowadays a hotspot full of art and delicious cuisine. The city also happens to be one of the host cities of the European Football Championship in 2020! Several competitions are held in the ‘San Mamés Stadium’ in the month June, so be sure to pack your flags when you go! During your visit also make sure to take a ride on the ‘Funicular de Artxanda’ which takes you to the top of the hills to provide you with a view from above or taste some delicious Pinxtos in the ‘Marcado de la Ribera’. This will definitively get you in a Spanish atmosphere! The beautiful city of Bilbao also was elected ‘European City of the Year’ in 2018, so you must have been here once in your life!

It gets more and more crowded with motorhomes everywhere because more and more people are getting to know the wonderful journeys with this vehicle. Though, there are still some beautiful places where you can fully relax, take for instance the southwest of England. This destination is declared to be one of thé most popular destinations for 2020 and that certainly has a reason! In 2020, several parts of the England Coast Path are being opened, which makes it the perfect activity to combine with your motor home trip. This National Trail will be the longest walking route in the world and will have a length of approximately 4500 kilometres. A part of the walking route is already open and brings you across regions such as Cornwall, Devon and Dorset. The path ends in Pool’s harbour and has the opportunity of being walked in both directions. The new parts will be opened in 2020, so maybe you will be one of the first to walk it!

This country also becomes more and more popular for motorhomers and we certainly agree! The country is a true fairytale when it comes to nature and is definitely a must to discover! Make sure to make a stop during your trip when you arrive at lake ‘Bled’, the most renowned lake in the country. The turquoise water provides beautiful reflections of the green forests of the Julian Alps in the water, which will definitely provide some beautiful pictures. Also, make sure to cross the lake with the boat because you will find a small island with a church located on it. Looking for more culinary activities? In that case Slovenia is also the place for you. The region Brda owns one of the world’s finest vineyards and the wine farmers would love to give you a sneak peak (and maybe a sip!) during your visit. Slovenia has it all, which makes this the perfect destination for your trip in 2020!

In the year 2020 you definitely have to visit the city of Rotterdam! This city is full of diverse cultures, delicious food and nice architecture, but also happens to have a special event in this year; the Eurovision Song Contest is being held here in the month May! This period makes the city popular of course, but in other months it will be just as nice! For example, during your stay make sure to visit the ‘Markthal’ and let yourself be amazed by various flavours from different cultures or shop till you drop in the trendy city centre. In the upcoming year, the city will also celebrate its 75 years of freedom since World War II, which will make the month May and April extra festive. When are you visiting?
