The best motorhome destinations in Europe in July!

Warm weather, long days on the beach and amazing nature. July is a great month to go on a vacation. Because the circumstances are so good, it is often very busy in this month, but sometimes that just makes it more fun! Be sure to book your trip in advance, though. Are you looking for some more inspiration for your motorhome trip in July? In this article, we list a couple of our favourite destinations for this summer month for you!

Did you know that temperatures can rise up to 30°C in Denmark? Admittedly, these temperatures are extraordinary; but it still is amazing weather during summer in Denmark. On your trip through Denmark, you can expect temperatures around 20°C, so great weather!

Søndervig is an ideal destination for a beach vacation in Denmark. The beach was previously once named the most beautiful beach in Denmark, and this destination still lives up to this title. The vast sandy beach and extensive dunes are perfect for a beach walk. Besides, the nearby village has various restaurants, cute shops and cosy terraces.

A visit to Søndervig is extra fun in July; in this month the annual sand sculpture festival takes place! During this festival, some of the most talented artists of the whole world travel to Søndervig to exhibit their artworks. In 2023, the 20th edition of this festival will take place. Are you travelling with kids? They can develop their own creative talents during the sand sculpture festival, while the parents relax with a cup of coffee on the terrace. Also known as "The Walk Of The World", the International Four Day Marches belongs to some of the biggest events in The Netherlands. This walking event starts on the third Tuesday of July, every year again, and is both a tiring walking event and a big party!

During this event, thousands of walkers from the whole world convene in Nijmegen to walk in the stunning, green environment. Besides this, there are many parties and activities to be found in the surroundings of Nijmegen during the event. For example, you could have a look at the festive parade at the start of the event or enjoy some music during the Vierdaagsefeesten! Did you know that the Vierdaagsefeesten is the biggest 'free access' event of the Netherlands? A good party is guaranteed!

Would you rather escape all the hustle and bustle? You can also take part in workshops, wind down in the park or spend a day at the Waalstrand. You can spend the night with your motorhome a little outside of the centre of Nijmegen at Camperplaats Malden. It might be busy in the centre, though. That's why we advise you to stay close to the hiking routes, for example at Landgoed Welderen, Camper erf Balgoy, De Diepen and/or Camperplaats Mook Starthoeve.

Ireland might not be the first destination that pops up in your head when you hear the words "summer holidays", but this country is actually a very nice place to be during summer. The average temperature lies between 16°C and 20°C. This is the perfect temperature for a somewhat more active vacation. So, what are you waiting for? Head out into Irish nature!

Park your motorhome at Glenmalure Lodge and you'll be in the Wicklow Mountains in no time. This national park lies at about 30 kilometres distance from the capital Dublin and is the most popular national park of the country. Besides walking, you can also bike, fish, climb or paraglide in the Wicklow Mountains. Whatever way you look at it, there are enough possibilities for adventure.
