We start our motorhome tour of Austria in Salzburg. This city is situated on the Salzach river. Especially for the historic city center, you should really stop by in your motorhome in Salzburg. The city center is on the UNESCO world heritage list. The center is built in a baroque architectural style and for this reason the city is nicknamed: 'baroque jewel on the edge of the Alps'. The most famous sights of Salzburg can be seen from afar. This is the Hohensalzburg Castle. A cable car takes you to this fairy-tale castle. Take a guided tour through the old dining hall or take the stairs to the highest point. From here you have a magnificent view over the city! The mountainous surroundings are perfect for hiking and you will find numerous unique hiking trails. Hike for example over the high mountain Schmittenhöhe or enjoy a beautiful walk around the Zellersee. In the area you will find several gondolas that will take you up! Another fun to-do during your camperstop in Zell am See is an afternoon at Lake Zell. At this freshwater lake you can enjoy the summer. Spread out your towel and relax at this lake or rent a canoe.

Time for some relaxation in Bad Kleinkircheim. This village has been awarded the certificate "alpine wellness area". There is a culture of wellness here and there are many thermal baths. Also in Therme St. Kathrein on the outskirts of the village you can completely relax. In addition to relaxation you can also take lovely walks in the mountains.
