The breweries of Belgium during your motorhome trip

If there is a country known for good beer, it is Belgium! Although it's not a good idea to do a full tasting when you still have to go out in your motorhome, you can always go to a tasting on foot or by bike from your motorhome stopover. We have listed the best breweries in Belgium for you to visit during your motorhome trip through Belgium. Cheers!

The brewery in Achouffe is of course mainly known for its La Chouffe beer with the famous gnome! During a visit to the brewery you can taste several of these beers and learn all about the beer giant in 1.5 hours. This brewery is the youngest on the list: since 1982 it has become one of the most famous in Belgium!

From camperstop Houffalize it is about half an hour by bike to the brewery of La Chouffe.

In Antwerp you can visit the city brewery of De Koninck during a modern interactive tour. During your visit you will experience a lot, for example you will be standing in a real beer glass! Of course, there are also several tastings you can book. The brewery is a real city brewery and it is still relatively young, De Koninck was founded in 1833.

You can walk (20 minutes) or cycle (10 minutes) to city brewery De Koninck from Camperpark Vogelzang.

Affligem has existed since 1074, when the monks of Affligem started the brewery. A nice fact: what is earned from the beer goes for a large part to charity! When the building was destroyed in the Second World War, they started brewing the beer at Opwijk, a brewery nearby. The beer is still brewed here today, and in Hekelgem you can even spend the night in the abbey!

Hekelgem can be reached in about half an hour by bike from the camperstop in Aalst.

At Dinant you will find Maison Leffe, a beer that has been brewed since 1240! The Abbey of Leffe was founded in the previous century and received many pilgrims. The beer was created because in the thirteenth century there were several diseases. The boiling of the water for the brewing process killed the germs and made the beer healthier than water. Today you can also enjoy this delicious beer in Dinant during a visit to the Maison!

You can visit the Maison Leffe in about three quarters of an hour by bike from the camperstop of Les Jardins d'Annevoie.
