The United Kingdom has so many beautiful places to offer, whether you like nature or the typical British atmosphere. In this article we take you past 7 beautiful places, such as the historic Cotswolds and bustling Liverpool!

The Cotswolds

Between Birmingham and London you find the Cotswolds, beautiful villages among the rolling hills. In many places prehistoric treasures have been unearthed or traces of the Romans can be seen. The characteristic English villages are wonderful to visit on a motorhome trip, or walk a part of the 100 miles long Cotswold Way. The Cotswolds is a truly beautiful and typically English environment to visit!

Brecon Beacons National Park

The Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales is home to one of the most beautiful mountains, caves and waterfalls in the United Kingdom! There are several short and longer walking routes in the park, each with its own level of difficulty. So there is something for every type of hiker walker. The area has been voted Dark Sky Reserve, which means that there is no light pollution here, so you can spot an unprecedented number of stars in the evening and at night! There are several places to do so.

Snowdonia National Park

Another national park in Wales is Snowdonia National Park. The Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales at 1085 metres. If you don't have the courage to climb it, you can also take the train to the top for the beautiful views. Anyway, it is more than worth it and definitely a must to visit during your trip with your motorhome through the United Kingdom.

Cotswolds England camper

York

York has a beautiful city wall as a remnant of the Romans who lived there in history. In an hour you can take a walk around the wall. There are also many beautiful & special buildings to visit in the city: Merchant Adventurers' Hall has its origins in the 14th century, and the York Minster is the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe. In 275 steps you can climb to the top for a great view over the city of York.

You can spend the night at Bleak House Farm , about half an hour walk to the centre.

Cairngorms National Park

In winter, the national park is mainly known as a large ski resort. In summer it is especially good to go for a walk, taste a nice whisky at one of the many distilleries or visit the Cairngorm Raindeer Centre. Enough to experience in this national park!

You can stay overnight at Tomintoul Bowlingclub Campsite or Balmoral Visitor Centre.

Liverpool United Kingdom camper

The Isle of Skye

The Isle of Skye is known for its rugged landscapes, it has been used as a set for Star Wars, among other things. Nature here invites you to go hiking, and that is hard to refuse! At Loch Dunvegan you can see seals and sea otters on a regular basis and here you will find Dunvegan Castle, one of the oldest inhabited castles in the north of Scotland.

You can spend the night on this island at Glenbrittle Campsite, Sligachan Campsite or Uig Bay Campsite.

Liverpool

You probably know Liverpool from the football club of the same name or from the Beatles, who come from here. To find out everything about the band, go to Beatles Story. Still there is always a new band to discover in the many pubs, which also creates a typical British atmosphere. Also the local dish Scouse, a meat stew, is worth a try. Crazy about the movie Titanic? Then you can indulge yourself here too, as the ship had Liverpool as its home port! You can visit a number of Titanic related locations, such as the Merseyside Maritime Museum.

You can spend the night at Liverpool Marina in the city centre.
