The German coastline is certainly worth a visit because of the variety of things to do! It's great for sunbathing and swimming, taking a long walk along the beach or visiting one of the small towns: something for everyone on the German coast! At the Bay of Lübeck, variety is perhaps the magic word. After a nice day on the beach, you can enjoy delicious fresh fish at the bay, but you can also visit the UNESCO listed Hanseatic city of Lübeck. The town gate Holstentor in particular is a real eye-catcher in the city, but there are also plenty of historic buildings to visit in the rest of the city centre, such as the Rathaus. Are you an amusement park lover? Then the nearby Hansa Park is also perfect for a day full of roller coasters!

Colourful, that's Rostock for sure! The German coastal town is even reminiscent of cities like Prague or Warsaw. All these colourful buildings date back to the Hanze era. In addition to these buildings, Rostock has an even more interesting history: the university, founded in 1419, is one of the oldest in the world! Would you like to go out into nature? Then the Rostocker Heide is a lovely walking area to escape from the city!

St. Peter Ording is the place to be if you want a truly relaxing beach holiday. In addition to the lovely extensive beach you will find a good spa here and the surrounding nature is also special. Think for example of Die Halligen, a group of islands in the Wadden Sea. The islands are not protected by dikes, so they get their protection from hills. Five islands are permanently inhabited today. Fun fact: a Northern Frisian dialect is spoken on these islands!
